This 4-week, in-person workshop has the broad theme of "Fun and Games" (because sometimes we have to trick ourselves into writing with fun). Open to all skill levels, this workshop focuses on using play to generate poetry. Prompts will be themed around word games, dice games, card games, gossip, the occult, reality tv, personality quizzes, etc. It's all about having fun and creating new work-a perfect activity leading up to Halloween!
This workshop has two sections which will meet in-person once a week at Lot 49 Books in the month of October. One section of the workshop will meet on Mondays in October at 6:30 (10/7-10/28) and the other section will meet on Thursdays in October at 6:30 (10/3-10/24) and culminate in a combined reading at Lot 49 on November 1st!
